Graduate Digital Marketing Trainee

This is a remarkable opportunity to play a key part in the growth of a rapidly expanding and unique organization - the Institute of Art and Ideas (IAI).

Described by the Guardian as 'the return to big thinking' and by Total Politics as 'Europe's answer to TED', the IAI puts on events throughout the year, including HowTheLightGetsIn - the world's largest philosophy festival. It is also responsible for, bringing big ideas to a global audience with debates and talks featuring the world's leading thinkers; IAI News, our online ideas magazine; and our weekly podcast Philosophy for Our Times.

We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic Graduate Digital Marketing Trainee to join the team responsible for the promotion and production of HowTheLightGetsIn festival for our tenth anniversary year in 2019.

The successful applicant will have training and responsibilities across a wide range of Digital Marketing including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Email Marketing, Content Management Systems and introductory SEO. There will also be opportunities for writing copy for the web and press.

Essential to this role is the ability to write well and persuasively. You will need to show the ability to modify your style to fit the circumstances and the target audience, and to be responsive to web performance statistics. The role will enable you to develop and hone skills in publicity and social media, and requires a high level of intellectual rigor and creativity. Above all, we are looking for an individual with flair and drive who is excited by the work of the IAI and of HowTheLightGetsIn.

All candidates should have an excellent educational background with a minimum 2:1 from a top university. An understanding of digital marketing, events promotion and social media trends is desirable but not essential.
