Graduate Digital Content Trainee
This is a remarkable opportunity to play a key part in the growth of a rapidly expanding and unique organization - the Institute of Art and Ideas (IAI).
Described by the Guardian as 'the return to big thinking' and by Total Politics as 'Europe's answer to TED', the IAI puts on events throughout the year, including HowTheLightGetsIn - the world's largest philosophy festival. It is also responsible for IAI.tv, bringing big ideas to a global audience with debates and talks featuring the world's leading thinkers; IAI News, our online ideas magazine; and our weekly podcast Philosophy for Our Times.
We are recruiting a full time Graduate Digital Content Trainee to join a small dynamic marketing team of talented individuals to help deliver digital campaigns and exponential website traffic growth.
The successful Graduate Digital Content Trainee will join the team responsible for IAI.TV, have training and responsibilities across many aspects of digital website development and marketing, including Data Analysis, Content Management, SEO, Customer Experience, Social Marketing, and Content Production. You will work closely with your colleagues in the planning and delivery of the range of the IAI’s digital marketing activity. Tasks such as analyzing website traffic and user behaviour will be a key feature of your role along with optimising our websites and content to help drive ongoing success.
The successful candidate will be a good communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to write short, accessible, and engaging copy. The ideal candidate would have some digital marketing experience. Familiarity with analytics software such as Google Analytics would be advantageous, but the mathematical ability to interpret and respond to data patterns is essential. Experience working with content management would also be desirable along with some understanding of basic SEO principles.
Above all we are looking for someone who is excited by our work and the potential for the web to be the driving force of cultural change. We are looking for candidates who will be inspired by the potential of this role and have the talent to be able to succeed. For the right candidate, there is opportunity for the role to develop rapidly.
The IAI is a talent pool where we favour internal promotions to external hires, allowing many to grow rapidly from interns to managers and go on to further successful careers. All candidates will need a strong academic background with at least a 2.1 from a leading university.
