This is a remarkable opportunity to play a key part in the growth of a rapidly expanding and unique organization - the Institute of Art and Ideas (IAI).

Described by the Guardian as 'the return to big thinking' and by Total Politics as 'Europe's answer to TED', the IAI puts on events throughout the year, including HowTheLightGetsIn - the world's largest philosophy festival. It is also responsible for, bringing big ideas to a global audience with debates and talks featuring the world's leading thinkers; IAI News, our online ideas magazine; and our weekly podcast Philosophy for Our Times.

The development team is closely allied to the overall strategic goals of the organisation and the senior management team. As the role develops there is the potential for you to have input into our overall strategy.

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work on our community engagement and individual giving programmes, as well as having input into the editorial production of future events.

All candidates should have a strong educational background (min. 2.1 from top university).  Some experience of fund raising would be an advantage but is not required.
